Collision: Motorcyclist killed by police vehicle

Larkana police said that he came under two of their mobile vehicles which were escorting the superintendent of police.

A motorcyclist was crushed under the wheels of a police vehicle near Tando Masti on Tuesday.



According to the deceased’s heirs, 50-year-old Haji Muhammad Panah Drigh was hit by an official police vehicle belonging to Sindh Police Headquarters, Sukkur. He was critically injured and rushed to Chandka Medical Hospital, where he died. The Larkana police said that he came under two of their mobile vehicles which were escorting the superintendent of police.

In another incident, Muhammad Ismail, 20, was gunned down within the Veehar police limits on Tuesday. SHO Zubair Soomro said that the deceased had gone to water his field at dawn when he was shot dead by unknown criminals. The villagers suspected that this was an honour killing since a woman was also killed a year ago for the same reason. The incident took place in Peechar Kalhoro village. Further police investigations are underway.
