QUETTA: A three-day anti polio campaign has been launched in Quetta on Monday. Earlier, on account of security issues, the drive scheduled for August 11 was delayed in Quetta and Pishin. A polio case reported in Killa Abdullah district had deprived Balochistan of the status of being polio free for 18 months. “As many as 476,000 children below the age of five will be administered polio drops in Quetta,” a health official said. He noted that over 493 mobile teams have been constituted besides 54 transit points and 95 fixed centers have been established across the Quetta block comprising Quetta and Pishin.    He said that 171 area in-charges have been tasked to monitor the campaign.
