Drive on: Nazimabad branch offers international driving licences

KARACHI:

Sindh AIG Traffic Ghulam Qadir Thebo inaugurated an international driving licence facility in the Nazimabad Driving Licence branch on Monday.

While examining the licence-issuing procedure, Thebo asked the Driving Licence DIG to ensure proper guidance to applicants for international driving licences and to make traffic laws easily accessible to citizens. He urged the DIG to recruit skilled staff and establish a women's desk for the facilities. He further said that a central helpdesk should be established for the verification of issued licences and to strengthen operations against the agent mafia.

Thebo said that all possible measures should be undertaken to inaugurate a mobile driving licence branch within a month, adding that another international driving licence facility should be opened in the Korangi branch as well.

The SSP Traffic Zone IV, SP and DSP Traffic License Branch were also present on the occasion.
