SIALKOT: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif should set his house in order before launching a long march and waging a crusade, said former chief minister Punjab and senior PML-Q leader, Pervaiz Elahi. He said this while addressing a meeting of party workers and office bearers of the Sialkot district on Iqbal Day.

Elahi says that Nawaz Sharif should reform his younger brother, the Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif, whom he alleges is responsible for the worsening financial plight of the common people, along with being guilty of compromising on the interests of the province.

He said that the provincial chief minister should account for the price-hike, economic downturn and lawlessness in the province.

He said the people were well aware of the ‘anti-people’ policies of the Punjab government and that they would not be duped any more through empty talk and false slogans.

He strongly criticised the current government of Punjab for halting the projects of the Sialkot Motorway and the Swedish University along with the construction of 42 colleges in the province.

Ex-Speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Ameer Hussain, former minister of industries, Muhammad Ajmal Cheema and District Nazim Sialkot Muhammad Akmal Cheema were also present at the meeting.
