LAHORE:
Adviser to former president Pervez Musharraf Chaudhry Sarfaraz Anjum Kahloon said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should immediately tender his resignation.
He said Sharif’s actions had become indefensible and his prime ministership was a threat to democracy. Kahloon said the prime minister should resign to prevent further damage to the political system. He said Sharif had lost the mandate to govern and called the prime minister an elected dictator. Kahloon said Sharif had spent a whole year trying to victimise Musharraf instead of focusing on overcoming the various challenges confronting Pakistan. He said the government pursuing vindictive politics was not acting in the national interest. He said their conspiracies against Musharraf would be foiled.
