GILGIT: Five members of a family visiting Gilgit-Baltistan were killed when their vehicle fell into a deep  gorge. The accident took place on Tuesday near  Fairy Meadows, a popular tourist destination near Chilas, when the driver lost control of the vehicle on their way back, said a police official. He added those killed included a man identified as Atif Hussain, his wife and their three children, all residents of Faisalabad, Punjab. The driver was admitted to a hospital in Chilas. Local volunteers rushed to rescue the victims after the incident, but remained unsuccessful due to the difficult terrain and lack of equipment.
