Initiating Progress: MUET opens new research centre

The centre will comprise an advanced research facility.

HYDERABAD: Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) has established a Coal Research and Resources Centre to help the government in the coal development projects. The decision to open the centre was made during the November 2013 International Coal Conference, which was organised by the MUET. The centre will comprise an advanced research facility, which will offer its academic and research services to both the public and private sectors. Dr Suhail A Soomro has been appointed as its director at a meeting chaired by the vice-chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Aslam Uqaili on Monday.
