The K-Electric (KE) in a move against its defaulting consumers in Liaquatabad, Nazimabad and North Nazimabad, has disconnected their power supply on Monday.
In a statement, the KE has said that the consumers in certain parts of the three localities owed the utility company Rs85 million as the payment of monthly bills in these high loss areas. The KE said that it had cut off electricity distribution from 16 pole-mounted transformers (PMTs), seven each in Nazimabad and North Nazimabad, and two in Liaquatabad. "The KE had issued several notices to the consumers in the aforementioned areas but the defaulters did not pay heed to the warnings," said the KE spokesperson.
