Around 3,000 FC personnel will be present in the capital to help the police with ensuring peace.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) are scheduled to hold rallies in Islamabad on August 14 as part of their protests against the current government.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah Khan had said that majority of the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz’s (PML-N) senior leadership is of the opinion that both Qadri’s revolution march and Imran Khan’s Azadi march should be allowed to go ahead in Islamabad.
He had said, according to the federal and Punjab government’s estimations, the PTI and the PAT might stage a sit-in lasting between 10 to 15 days.
“The federal government will make such arrangements that their sit-in remains a sit-in and after that they call it off peacefully,” he had said.

@Naeem Khan Manhattan,Ks: Agreed - an excellent analysis. Nawaz-Sharif & Co. don't have a common sense and he can put the whole country in danger. Moreover, some of his advisers like Saad Rafiq and Aasif's seats are on stake and they are not allowing Nawaz Sahrif to compromise. I suggest NS to sacrifice these selfish friends and save the country/democracy by compromising with Imran Khan.
@Syed Ahmed: You are right - It seems N-league and its Government got mad.
@Hammond: T Enough words have been exchanged, now let us see the deeds!! Theirs is NOT to do and die, this much I am. sure.

Nawaz Sharif is showing his real colors now , he is the product of that dictator Zia and sure enough following his ideology to the T. Democracy is a farce in Pakistan, this government has confiscated private buses and even forced the passengers to disembark and they expect the masses are going to love NS and his minions . The other brother in Punjab has so much blood of the innocent people on his hands that it will be hard for him to be any credible leader. They are autocratic to the core and it seems that the noose is getting tighter and believe me Pakistanis are beginning to think what have they done to deserve them and their dictatorial rule. In democratic countries, it is the right of the people to protest peacefully and the government never put hurdles in their way but this government is scared of the people because it is not by the people. These are the same autocratic brothers who were responsible for the attack literally on the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the 1990s, justices had to take shelter from their goons to save their lives, how could the nation forget that shameful act of these 2 brothers.
@Rex Minor: One is reminded of the historical "Charge of the Light Brigade".
The PML N govt has gone nuts... 245, 144 and now FC !
How great a spectacle but that, I fear is all it is

This is crazy. The Frontier Constabulary is a Federal Paramilitary Police Force, largely drawn from the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. Its principle job is to guard the border between the settled areas of KPK and FATA. Bringing a hundred or so to Islamabad for a ceremonial parade is one thing but bringing 3,000 FC armed to contain a charged crowd of which up to 50% may be fellow Pashtuns is suicidal, either way. They wrecked havoc in East Pakistan in 1971 - I was there - when Tikka had them sent.
The state must be strong and not let this rabble cause further chaos.
Build a parameter around them and 'quarantine' them in a specific area , say Ayub Wildlife park. Spread of polio is also a major risk.
A picture speaks better than thousand words. This has raised my confidence in the might of the state to new level Sensational!
