Shoaib Mansoor’s Bol gets censor clearance

The film is expected to release at the end of January 2011.

LAHORE:
The Pakistan Film Censor Board has censored and cleared Shoaib Mansoor’s second full-length feature film, Bol.

According to a source in the censor board, the film was reviewed by the board on Monday in Lahore. The film is expected to release at the end of January 2011.

Mansoor’s first feature film, Khuda Kay Liye, starred Shaan, Fawad Khan and Iman Ali.

Bol stars Pakistani singer Atif Aslam as well as Mahira Khan and Umaima Abbasi. While Mansoor has not revealed anything about the film so far, Aslam told The Express Tribune in an interview in September that he plays a doctor in the film and has contributed two songs to the soundtrack. He said at the time that the film “was being made for a good cause.”

A censor board official told The Express Tribune, “I can tell you right now that the movie is really impressive and the music is good too.” He declined to provide any details about the film’s storyline.
