Tribunal ruling overturned: SC reinstates MNA from Bahawalpur

Court also halt re-elections in NA-176 by the election commission

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday restored the membership of National Assembly member Sultan Mahmood Hinjra of PML-N. The court reinstated him on NA-178 seat by annulling the Bahawalpur election tribunal decision. The two-member bench of the apex court comprising Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk and Justice Amir Hani Muslim heard and accepted the plea of suspended MNA. The court also halted re-elections in NA-176 by the election commission.
