Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan in a message to the nation on Thursday urged people to step out and join his ‘Azadi’ march to Islamabad on August 14.

He said that people should join the march for their own future and not for the sake of Imran Khan.

“I have everything, but I am concerned about my nation,” read the message in Urdu.

“If you do not step out on August 14 to fight for your rights, there will be no change in the country.”

The PTI chief has closed doors on negotiations with the government and is set to lead a million-man march to the federal capital on August 14 to end Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s monarchical rule.

A PTI core committee meeting is scheduled for Sunday to finalise preparations.

What about open letter of Abdul Razzaq who won PS-93 after PTI MPA Hafeez-ud-Din got disqualified today by election tribunal after recount on 6 polling stations proved PTI candidate did rigging? Abdul Razzaq shared documentary evidence of fake POs used by PTI candidate but no newspaper or channel published his claims?

Nawaz Sharif has not much going for him but once again IK is on the wrong side of history. Instead of proving his performance in KP and creating a grassroots cadre through local government (in which he like all othet major political leaders appears least interested) he just wants to create mayhem and anarchy which doesnt really take much effort. Even if he succeeds, what is to stop others from doing an azadi march to him in KPK. This is height of political madness. No wonder his sidekicks appear clueless about the direction of this so called azadi march.

Setting a wrong tradition. Elections means nothing. Just gather people from cities, get some killed and grab power .Peiople mandate under threat hjust like 1977 in Pakistan and more recently in Thailand. I feel sorry that I voted for PTI in 2013.

Your grammar is worse than your thinking! Don’t use double past tense–“didn’t selected” is not correct, “didn’t select” is!

    Typical uncouth Leaguer!

@Pakistani: Actually, what he is protesting against, is the fact that no one really knows who was selected as Prime Minister because of massive rigging. I don’t see how people criticizing Imran Khan can expect everyone to just be okay with the corrupt electoral system. Average Pakistanis can’t just move abroad like many affluent people, so this issue is very important and extremely urgent. It shouldn’t just be treated like old news because a year has passed.

Let us see what happens on August 14. Imran Khan should spell out clearly what his demands are that affects the people of Pakistan. In my view, abolition of Feudal system, coming out of “American war on terror”, stopping Military operations which have created a million refugees, demand immediate arrest of culprits which create murders in Karachi, etc. etc. These demands affect a common man. Just coming on the streets is neither here nor there.

“…Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s monarchical rule…” Since Imran, not ET is saying this it should be in inverted commas.

The corrupt N-League will not do anything in next 4 years to stop corruption or do anything good for this country. All parties are meeting with each other just because they have been part of corrupt political system for a long time. Give something and Take something, this has been the agenda of ANP, PPP, MQM, PML-N. Now all are joining hands together against Imran just because he has threatened to clean this system.

Well may be Altaf Hussain (need to return his pharmacy degree it is fake non of the Bahari’s passed) is the answer since most of the comments are by MQM sympathizers or should we ask the cardiologist of N.Shareef or the shrink of Zardari .. who went to DC & met with Joe the VP I was not impressed with the smiling teeth of our leader but on other hand Joe had a better smile and teeth(Zardari needs to check out his dentist); folks it is not a prank for real you all need therapy and the most accomplished guy for DC is Zardari or Altaf for #10 street.
May be Jack Nicholson’s advice or Kathy Bates treatment will help.
Figure it out soon your comments are lousy.. really, really ….
