Police highhandedness ‘My son went missing from custody’

She said the police had refused to resgister a missing person case despite repeated requests.

SARGODHA: A woman filed a petition against police officials on Tuesday stating that her 16-year-old son, Aziz Rehman, had mysteriously gone missing from police custody. The Sargodha RPO has directed the district police officer and the relevant SHO to file a report on the incident. The boy’s mother, Kaneez Fatima, told The Express Tribune that her son had been arrested by Jhaal Chakian police for stealing taps on first day of the month of Ramazan. She said when she went to the police station the next day, the boy was not there. She said she asked the police about her son but they said that they did not know where he was. She said the police had refused to resgister a missing person case despite repeated requests.
