Taking action: Enquiry ordered against cops

PESHAWAR: IGP Nasir Khan Durrani has ordered CCPO Ijaz Khan to launch an investigation into the alleged links of an SP, DSP and SHO with kidnappers and other criminals. “There are reports that they have been suspended, but an enquiry has also been launched to look into the individuals, based on a news report alleging they maintained links with the kidnappers. Further action will be taken after the enquiry,” a police official told The Express Tribune. He added the IGP ordered CCPO Ijaz Khan to send the report of the investigation as soon as possible.
