PTI Information Secretary Shireen Mazari said the resignations were now in Imran's possession and he could present them to the speaker of the National Assembly whenever he deems fit -- a decision taken during the party's parliamentary party meeting on Monday.
Two days ago, Imran had summoned PTI's MNAs to hand in their resignations before the NA session takes place on August 4 (today).
Further, Imran said that he would present them to the speaker of the NA on August 13 -- a day before the party's 'Azadi' march on Independence Day.
The PTI leadership has already slammed the door shut on negotiations with the government. The party has started mobilising its supporters for the Azadi March at Islamabad’s D-Chowk where it expects one million will show up on August 14.
Siraj suggests PML-N, PTI talk it out
While talking to media, Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sairajul Haq said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have no plans of dissolving the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly, adding the party only wants transparent elections.
The former KP senior minister said that he does not want differences between parties to be exploited by others.
“I have suggested that the Pakistan Muslim Legaue – Nawaz and the PTI should talk and resolve their differences,” said Haq.
Imran wins Mengal’s support
PTI chief Imran Khan on Monday contacted Akhtar Mengal, the chief of Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) and invited him to participate in his August 14, Azadi March.
PTI information secretary Shireen Mazari claimed that the Baloch nationalist leader has assured Imran of his party’s support, adding that BNP-M will participate in PTI’s “Azadi March”.
PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Chief Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak met Jamat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq to formally invite his party to participate in August 14 protest march.

The gaadi Nasheens and practitioners of zaat paat and biradri style politics such as the Multani Makhdooms will never resign because that will be a death knell to their politics! IK is as usual passing gas and even he knows that chickening out now would mean saying adios to any Prime Ministerial aspirations for 2018, not that he should have any such aspirations cause he is a rank loser in every sense of the definition.
ET you can stay anti-IK as much as you want. One of these days you will regret it for taking such a stance
For fair elections first condition is independent autonomous Election commission in India all voters have been issued I cards and the photo of the voter is also there on the voter list and the Presiding officer match the photo on I card with photo on voter list and then allows the voter to press the button of the EVM. There are number of observers from out side the state a finance observer observe the expenditure being incurred by the candidate only then fair elections aare possible.
I applaud this step! Resign and move over. You will have ample opportunity to take your case to Public in 2018. There is no other way for IK. There is no place in constitution for Govt to go and they will not GO ANYWHERE. Either create a chaos, destroy Pakistan and its some what progress or leave the assemblies and make a case later.
Now please resign and leave!

reading these comments, one can clearly see how even some of our educated people don't care about election rigging and looting and fraud of current politicans. If someone is standing for peoples rights, 'slave minds' start making fun of him.
@Blithe: You know nothing about policits.
that means MNAs are being paid well externally !!!
@Saleem: How do you expect your problems solved when the people grab the power disrespecting your votes? You think they are dying to solve common peoples' issues?
Beauty of democracy
@Shabir: A real leader would work within the system, hod the current government accountable through the parliament and then work hard in KPK. In such a manner, they would win the trust and support of the electorate. They would in short win the next elections when people are ready for a change. I supported Imran Khan in the past but sadly I see he is just another bitter loser who will stoop at anything to topple the government and become leader. Imran Khan doesn't understand how fragile democracy in a developing country like Pakistan is. It needs to be supported and nurtured by true statesmen. He has disappointed a lot of people with his devil may care attitude about creating instability and derailing democracy. As such he is just as bad as Tahirul Qadri who threatens the government every day with revolution and anarchy. The country needs stability, development, fighting terrorism and progress - not this anarchy nonsense by sore losers like Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan.
@Blithe: Looks like you have a full-time job to malign PTI on ET. Very likely you'll go unemployed after august 14th. LOL...
Finally....IK wakes up to the reality that he along with his PTI deserves to wander in the streets gathering dust than to sit in the parliament respectably and be part of a democratic system.
Spending millions of rupees on Azadi March only for resignations from the National Assembly? Beyond my thoughts.
@Blithe: You are wrong, there will be hung parliament as it was the real result of equal seats almost to N and PTI. and this time will remain the same most probably.Btw when you are saying it will clear majority to N without rigging then it's mor ein favor of N then to PTI.
So many IK haters who just love to write nasty comments for the sake of it, lol.
The Azadi March will be historic, InshAllah! The people of Pakistan will come out to support him in large numbers and soon it will be tata bye bye for PML-N!
Imran Khan Zindabaad! Pakistan Zindabaad!
Change comes through struggle and not by sitting home, doing drawingroom talks. Well done IK... you are indeed Pakistan Khan. It is up to the people to now , to make sure this goes to the end. People of Pakistan have a leader they needed for the past 6 decades and it is up to them to recongnize this. Long love Imran Khan... insha Allah.
Oh joy. Please hand them in ASAP.
No sane voter would elect them in future elections. Imran Khan took part in previous election because some quarters gave him guarantees of landslide victory otherwise his default setting is Boycott.
this is only the drama no one can b able to solve the problum every polition include imran and tahir ul qadri spped up to take govt and full fill his bank accounts no one is serious with pakistan
Just do it......
@Advisor: No , he actually works for the real estate baron Alem Khan , the Riaz Malik of DHA Lahore. But Alem Khan actually has a worse reputation than Riaz Malik.
But Imran has "compulsions " as he needs such characters to bankroll him.
@Saleem: Country also needs to move beyond from the clutches of fake and stolen electoral mandate. People will live better when they are free from these looters.
Good riddance! As correctly predicted by so many political pundits, Imran Khan is trying to become Arvind Kejriwal. Now it is the time to resign from parliament and just go back home like AK of AAP. Enough of failures in the KPK.
Imran Khan is not the National Assembly speaker of Pakistan. It is my request to PTI to follow Constitutional procedure if you are really serious and kindly stop this drama of handing over resignations to Imran Khan.
Shehzaadaaa!!! People are ready to give their lives..........You are asking for "Resignations"..... This is what he said yesterday.
I am predicting another Press Conference by PR & Saad Rafique.
IK you are the real leader. We are with you.
Good riddance to bad rubbish!
There will simply be by-elections and PML N will probably win most of the seats, as KPK is sick of the dharna politics of IK.
No single development work in KPK to speak of... The biggest joke is that the chief has criminally wasted corers in building " an annexe " to the chief minster house, so PTI can say that the CM doesn't live in the CM house.
Most hypocritical party in he world ! Very soon it will be consigned to the dustbin .
Is that Bilawel behind Imran??
Rather than threats, please go ahead and resign from National as well as provincial seats. People have lives to live and country need to move beyond jalsa/dharna politics.
