Azadi March: No Nisar-Imran meeting, says ministry

Interior ministry spokesperson says Nisar not involved in any backchannel negotiations with PTI regarding Azadi March

An interior ministry spokesperson has said that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was not engaged in any backchannel negotiations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on the matter of ‘Azadi March’.


The interior minister has not secretly visited PTI chairperson Imran Khan’s residence in Bunni Gala in this connection, the spokesperson added. “The minister of interior is not engaged with the chairperson PTI on the issue of the 14th of August at any level or at any place.”

Imran Khan is an emotional man and don't forget that there is no place of emotions in politics. We experienced that Imran Khan took u-turn many times, like Pervez Musharraf issue and Chief justice Iftikhar issue.

But glad if they did because I really dont want to line up to watch leaders fight a duel. Hope they are able to work out something and retreat
