‘Honour’ crime Man attacks ex-wife with acid

The spokesman said a case against Ahmad had been registered and a police team was looking for him.

BAHAWALPUR: A woman was attacked with acid by her former husband late on Thursday night. A Satellite Town police spokesman said Maqbool Hussain, in his complaint, stated that on Thursday night he was asleep on his roof and his daughters Amna and Sadaf were sleeping in the compound with their mother, when Amna’s former husband Ahmad and his two accomplices scaled the wall and entered the house. He said Ahmad threw acid at Amna before he fled. He said Amna was taken to a hospital with burns. Hussain said Amna had divorced the man two weeks ago. The spokesman said a case against Ahmad had been registered and a police team was looking for him.
