ISLAMABAD:

People started returning to the twin cities on Thursday after celebrating Eid with their families in their hometowns.

Even though government employees will be returning to their workplaces on Monday, some of those working in the private sector have to be in office on Friday (today).

Bus stands in the capital were crowded since Thursday morning. Asad Zahir, an employee of a non-government organization, said, “I left for my hometown in Layyah last Friday to spend the last days of Ramazan and Eid with my parents.”

Zahir’s wife said they had come back a few days earlier as they will be cleaning their home and doing laundry before they get back to work on Monday.
