Monetary dispute: Children injured in shoot-out

RISALPUR: A man and two children were severely injured in a shoot-out between rival groups over a monetary dispute late Sunday night. An official of Risalpur police said the incident occurred at around 10:45pm, adding that Khalid alias Doctor and Darveish opened fire at each other in Shereen Kothay. Two children who were rummaging through a garbage dump nearby were caught in the line of fire along with a pedestrian identified as Manzoor. All three suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were taken to District Headquarters Hospital, Nowshera from where they were referred to Peshawar.  An FIR has been registered against both groups. The names of the children have yet to be ascertained and investigation is under way.
