Shootout in Bannu: Militant killed, another arrested

BANNU: A militant was killed while another was arrested by the security forces after a shootout in Janikhel area of FR Bannu on Saturday. An official of the security forces said that they got an intelligence report that some foreign elements were busy in suspicious activities in Janikhel area of FR Bannu, adding that they surrounded the area and started search operation for the arrest of the suspected persons. He said the suspected militants opened fire when the security personnel approached them. The security forces retaliated and killed a militant identified as Mattiullah and arrested another identified as Waliullah in injured condition after a two-hour shootout.
