In a conversation with the media, India’s Defence Minister Arun Jaitley said on Saturday that the ceasefire violations were itself an issue [to be discussed during] the talks.
He made the comments when asked whether the recent border violations would have any impact on talks between the foreign secretaries of both countries, which are scheduled for August 25, 2014.
According to the Indian daily, Jaitley, in a statement in the Indian parliament on July 25, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had stressed the importance of peace along the borders and the need to uphold the sanctity of the Line of Control, during his talks with his Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Ceasefire violations
One person was killed in Shakargarh sector on the Pakistani side of the Line of Control after India’s Border Security Force (BSF) allegedly opened fire on Wednesday.
According to local sources, a man identified as Iftikhar was shot four times when he accidentally went near the working border between India and Pakistan. He was arrested and handed over to Pakistan Rangers after post-mortem.
Iftikhar is reportedly the third citizen to be killed in recent LoC violations.
On July 20, one person was killed in Mirajke area along the Pakistani side of the Line of Control after BSF allegedly opened fire. The firing also injured three women and a child.

How many soldiers have their lost life along the indo pak border ever since Modi became the PM?
@Haider: Help me understand the nature of this operation Zarb-e-Azb? Your government announces that they will pound the terrorists... Wouldn't all terrorists run away before they arrive?
Then your army goes there destroying and killing what? Since, most might have already fled, I am not sure who your Army is killing? Maybe they are killing S-T-U-P-I-D terrorists who still remained there despite the warning?
As far as "Pakistan already told Afghanistan..." they are accusing your country of sheltering the terrorists, while your country is accusing them of sheltering the run-away terrorists? If you want I can quote individual articles from Dawn and ET...
Guys lets just not argue with each other and hope for better good relations. in my personal view its just matter of politics and military of the countries, as pakistani and indian people both have good relations abroad ..
@Haider: Then read this from ET: http://tribune.com.pk/story/741242/do-not-let-haqqani-fighters-resettle-us-tells-pakistan/
"Pakistan’s envoy to Washington Jalil Abbas Jilani, sitting alongside Eggers and others at the event, acknowledged that Haqqani fighters almost certainly fled the region ahead of the military operation because it was pre-announced."
@Mc Pakistani military has been given orders to remove all terrorists local or foreigners..and after idps moved ....every one who is found is terrorist.........
@Haider: By that logic, you also believe that Pakistan is going after all terrorists including Haqqani Network. LOL
Shame on India for killing Pakistani and Kashmiri civilians.
India is playing its cards quite well by giving peace a chance but it is unlikely that Pak military will allow it to happen. If Pakistan still continues its border violations which is a likely scenario, India would strike hard which will have the backing of major world powers.
