Even in countries that allow alcohol and cheap alcohol at that there are always home brews. Alcohol just doesnt kill from being poisonous in all countries where it is legal many loose their lives to drunk drivers and other alcohol related deaths. It is not fair and rather stupid to blame everything on the government. Alcohol is banned by Islam if you have a problem with it you all have the option of leaving the country and residing in one that allows alcohol to be consumed legally albeit if you call yourself a muslim it would never be legal for you.
@Sun: Without official permission or legalizing this issue, one can find hundreds of alcohols anywhere in Pakistan, if you can afford it....this is an open secret. Yes! if you have an issue of high cost, then it is different. Islam does not allow us to drink, so at least, if this is officially not allowed is better than allowing free for all situation.....
Seven lives could have been saved if the state were regulating the alcohol or the Punjab government was doing its job of keeping poisonous alcohol off the markets. Sadly, for Showbaaz Sharif, the Punjab ends at Lahore.
Legalize alcohol and we won't have these issues in Pakistan.
Arrest the dealer.
Poisonous alcohol can only be avoided if we allow alcohol in the country and left the decision to drink or abstain on individuals.
