High level transfers and postings have taken place in the Pakistan army on Saturday. Lieutenant General Shamim Wayne was appointed as Chief of General Staff in the GHQ.
Military sources reveal that Lieutenant General Javed Zia has been appointed Corps Commander of Quetta. Lieutenant General Rashid Mehmud is now Corps Commander Lahore, while Lieutenant General Mustafa Khan is Corps Commander Mangla.
Major General Sajjad Ghani has been posted as the Vice Chief of General Staff. Major General Mohammad Asif is GOC 18th Division...Major General Nasrullah Tahir Dogar GOC Panu Aqil, Major General Akhtar is Director General of O and MD.
Major General Asif is GOC 19th Division, Major General Farukh GOC SSG, while MAjor General Saeed Aleem has been appointed as deputy quarter master general.
