Embezzlement: Case registered against ex-AG, 9 others

An FIA official said the accused had apparently embezzled Rs470 million of various departments.

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency has registered a case against former acting accountant general Rana Zahid Rasheed and his nine colleagues on charges of embezzling Rs470 million, FIA Punjab director Usman Anwar said on Tuesday.

Anwar said the deputy controller general (accounts) had referred the matter to the agency. He said FIA Deputy Director Khalid Anees had been tasked to investigate the fraud allegations.
