Violating the curfew: Tribesman shot and injured in Khyber

JAMRUD: A tribesman was shot and injured by security forces personnel late Monday night when he violated the curfew in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency. Political administration official Rahat Shah reported that his younger brother Rahat Sher left the house near Sakhi Pul for a walk after Iftar when security forces opened fire at him, severely injuring him. Officials said Sher violated the curfew imposed by the local administration in Ghundi and surrounding areas of Jamrud tehsil. They said that Sher kept walking towards the soldiers despite them issuing a warning. The tribesman was treated at Hayatabad Medical Complex and is said to be in stable condition.
