Did you know?: Backstreet Boys cancel concerts in Israel
The shows were scheduled from July 29 to July 31 at the Ra’anana Amphitheater in Tel Aviv and now the band is trying to rebook for next year.
“This is a major disappointment for the band and fans as this was supposed to be our first visit to Israel and we were looking forward to meeting our fans,” said the band.
In a statement the band said, ‘We now join the prayers of the people of Israel for the well-being of our soldiers, may they return home in peace.’
‘We’re already working with the producers on new dates during Spring 2015 and will notify everyone about this as soon as possible,’ the band added, according to dailymail.co.uk
It is not the first time a pop band has cancelled their concerts, Neil Young & Crazy Horse and Paul Anka have also previously cancelled their shows in the wake of the escalating Middle-East conflict.

@Shariq: So Israel is committing mass murder in defending itself and warning civilians to leave Gaza, and the Hamas isn't committing any crimes by sending hundreds of rockets through civilian areas in Israel every day?
Point to be noted is that the band didn't cancel due to the mass murder Israel is committing but because they fear for their own well being. They are the friends of Israel, i quote: "We now join the prayers of the people of Israel..." What a pathetic movie.
