A local magistrate along with a team of police carried out raids at butchers’ shops in the Sagri area of Rawat and detained three butchers for selling meat at higher prices than the official rates. Special Magistrate Rawalpindi Chaudhry Gulam Abass raided shops for selling meat at Rs600 per kg against the official price of Rs480 per kg.
The arrested butchers were sent to Adial Jail after cases were registered against them.
