Monsoon season: Preparations for dengue

The Health Department has instructed hospitals and EDOs to initiate cleanliness drives in their areas.

All public hospitals have been directed to take stringent measures to clean up their premises in the wake of the rainy season.


The Health Department on Saturday told hospitals to get rid of waste and construction rubble as these could provide breeding grounds for dengue larvae. Medical superintendents have been instructed to submit reports to the health services DG detailing the measures they have taken to ensure cleanliness.


The Health Department has instructed hospitals and EDOs to initiate cleanliness drives in their areas and implement the SOPs to control and curb dengue fever.


Hospitals have been instructed to nominate focal persons to arrange for banners that would be displayed at prominent places to create awareness regarding preventative measures.
