LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Friday said players selected for participation in Commonwealth Games 2014 are free to attend the event, Express News reported.

The competition, which will be staged in Glasgow, starts on July 24 and concludes on August 3.

Earlier, the court had cancelled a list prepared by the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) for the event, as it had been prepared without the consent of the recognised federations.

Sports camps for the Games were set up at the Pakistan Sports Complex on July 2. Players practised weight lifting, boxing, wrestling, squash, swimming, hockey, badminton and table tennis daily from 11pm to 2am and 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
