Accountability drive: NAB appoints new DG in Sindh

NAB Chairman issues directives for the appointment of Ahmed as the head of NAB in Sindh.

National Accountability Bureau director Major (retd) Shabbir Ahmed has assumed charge as director general of NAB (Sindh chapter), following expiry of the contract of Wajid Ali Khan Durrani.


Ahmed reiterated his resolve to take forward the accountability drive without any fear and according to the law.


In this regard NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry issued the directives for the appointment of Ahmed as the head of NAB in Sindh, who has previously held the same post from May 2011 to July 2012.


He has also served in the Sindh government as additional secretary (administration), DG Bureau of Statistics and chairman of the election authority in Sindh.


Ahmed is a regular NAB employee and has served in the NAB headquarters Islamabad and its regional offices.
