Pakistan fast-bowler Sohail Tanveer picked up three wickets and bowled splendidly in death overs to clinch a thrilling two-run win for Touchme CC over Advance Telecom in their 19th Dr Muhammad Ali Shah Night Trophy quarter-final at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium.
Set a target of 160, Advance Telecom were well on their way to victory riding on Sharjeel Khan’s impressive 84 off 45 deliveries studded with four sixes and 10 boundaries. As his wicket fell the whole team tumbled for 157 in 19.3 overs. Haris Ali Khan gave away 32 runs for his scalps while off-spinner Shahid Khan claimed three wickets as well.
Earlier, Touchme CC made 159 for eight in 20 overs with Haris smashing 46 hitting two sixes and three boundaries, while Waqas Ahmed chipped in with a 30-run cameo spanking two maximums and similar number of fours.
