Speaking exclusively in the Express News show ‘To the Point’, Meshaal said that differences between Hamas and Fatah are too trivial to hurt the Palestinian cause. “In politics, it’s natural to have differences, but there is always a common ground to sort them out.”
“Disunity is one of the causes of the present plight of the Palestinian people, but the main issue is Israeli aggression, the US bias towards the Zionist regime and the criminal silence of the international community,” he said.
Asked if Hamas would ever recognise the state of Israel, Meshaal said, “No.” He said Israel has occupied the Palestinian land and usurped the rights of the Palestinian people.
Does agreeing to the 1966 borders not imply recognising the state of Israel, the Hamas leader said there were a number of countries in the world that don’t recognise each other and have border disputes, but still talk to each other.
“We are open to dialogue but you need to have strong cards in hand for talks,” he said. “We believe in every type of resistance, armed and unarmed with dialogue,” he added.
About the US diplomatic tilt towards Israel, Meshaal said it was hurting the American interests in the Muslim world in general and in the Middle East in particular.
Meshaal said “the US and the West have pampered Israel into a spoilt child that does not even listen to them”. To substantiate his claim, he referred to the 2009 speech of US President Barrack Obama in Cairo University where he had assured that the festering issue would be resolved but “Israel did not agree and continued its aggressive stance”.

Our full support is with Palestine and Inshallah they will win the battle.
@tanzeelaabro: Sorry you are wrong. The number of Israeli casualties is not quarter but less than 5% of Palestinian casualties.
@numbersnumbers Have U ever tried to know the reasons behind the bomb attacks of innocent Palestinians ... ?? If yes then your question is useless my friend because the number of Israelis have been killed in that conflict is not hardly quater of the Palestinians been killed there .... And another thing is , Israel is having support of her allies weapons are being provided to them where as , Palestine has nothing except these small rocket fire kind of weapons ....
May Allah help our Palestinian brothers and sisters,at this challenging time we can anticipate the pain and agong you people are going through. Surprised that neither OIC nor UN is pushing Egypt to open Raffah border?Islamic countries at the fit=rst step can stop the trade with Israel on there inhumane and savage behaviour.May Allah bless all of you to come through this testing time with victoryand unite all the Muslims.
salam to all my palestines brothers and sisters
@Jamshed: And would any of those Palestinians have been killed if HAMAS had built a system of bomb shelters (along with that arsenal of rockets) to protect the innocent Palestinians when that vast arsenal of rockets was launched directly into Israeli cities, hoping to slaughter Israelis SAFE in their bomb shelters? Remember that the Israelis did not retaliate until Hamas had launched rockets into Israeli cities for nearly two full days at the beginning of this war!
@Dr.Muhammad Ali Haider: ameen
@numbersnumbers: {Anything mentioned about the hundreds of military rockets falling on Israel????}
They are fired in anger / frustration and to keep up the facade of armed resistance. What else you propose for them as an occupied / oppressed people resisting the aggressor? Can you tell me how many Israelis have been killed by these rockets in the last 10 years. Most probably much less than one day casualties in GAZA. You will be hard pressed to find similar example of extremely brutal / disproportionate / in human retaliation by an occupying force against legitimate freedom fighters.
@numbersnumbers: Should palestinians stay calm and throw roses when Zionists are bombing them? What else do you expect from someone whose land is taken away and his mothers, daughters getting killed? Stupid Indian Logic!
Luck or Fate is so slow but so sures that it resemble very much like meteorite or asteroid following a fixed path in the sky that you can't see by naked eye, but you can tell a millennia before it crosses what planet or fall where. Pak & Palestenian fate is just like that. Today we are at a crossroad where no other Muslim country... no mater what they claim, is as suitable to intervene in Isreal-vs-Palestine issue as we are. Gaza Palestinians, Friends! Have no support from any corner of the Muslim world to their unique complicated political situation today. Good thing! Muslim world desperately need someone to solve this for Umma. Pakistan due to its impartiality in Ummah has this characteristics to help them out here. And no other leader than the current one has the compassion to intervene. Sorry, I never voted for NS, but I know he is made to handle exactly this scenario.

An apple fell and Newton discovered the law of gravity. Hundreds of bombs fell on Gaza but no one discovered the law of humanity!

ET - if you want show at least some semblance of objective competence, it would probably help to change the reference to 'Hamas militants' in your stock photo.
