HARIPUR:

The Shemale Association Haripur on Wednesday threatened to demonstrate against excessive load-shedding in the region if the government does not resolve the issue promptly.

Flanked by over half a dozen of her followers, the district president of the association, Saima Shaukat, said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had always called Hazara its political stronghold but failed to overcome the power crisis. Speaking at the association’s head office, she said the government was adding to people’s miseries though power outages and inflation.

Saima claimed locals were suffering from 18 hours of power outages a day. “Our people were displaced to build Tarbela Dam, Khanpur Dam and the Ghazi Barotha Power Project. The only reward they received for their sacrifices was excessive load-shedding and billing apart from unstable voltage,” she added.

The association’s president cited poor governance and lack of policy framework for the power crisis. She warned that the Shemale Association would block GT Road, adding that the government would have to shoulder the blame for any untoward incident.

I am a TS model living in London and others have no idea of the stuggle and hardship we could through in our daily lives. It is so hard to hear stories like this, I wish them all the luck in the world and hope it gets sorted without a major incident
