Did you know?: Akhshay to produce his first-ever soap opera

Superstar Akhshay Kumar is all geared up to produce his first TV show called Jamai Raja. The star has always enjoyed taking risks and has now teamed up with Ashwini Yardi to produce the daily soap under the Grazing Goats banner, which they co-own, reports the Deccan Chronicle.

The 46-year-old has stood out for his acting skills and hosting in a reality culinary show. The host of Khatron Ke Khiladi has donned hats for his work in the film industry for 23 years.

In a statement, the programming head of Zee TV, Namit Sharma, said, “Viewers are used to seeing a daughter-in-law playing the ‘fixer’ as she is expected to adjust to new surroundings after marriage. Our new show Jamai Raja breaks this stereotype as the husband attempts to repair the estranged relationship between his newly-married wife and his mother-in-law,”

Ravi Dubey, who plays Siddharth, is the protagonist in this daily soap. The story revolves around how he takes charge to improve an estranged relationship between his wife and mother-in-law.

The Bollywood superstar’s sudden change of interests has left us in awe. We all hope that this career diversity is as successful as his acting profession. The show is likely to go on air from next month on Zee TV.

About one dozen Bollywood stars are everywhere. They are on big screen, TV, ads, sports, politics etc. Indian talent is confined to few film personalities which is not a good sign.
