Addressing a ceremony for Taxpayer Privileges and Honour Card Scheme, the premier said that there was no place for negative politics in the country, adding that it was time for constructive politics.
Implicitly criticising his two political rivals, the prime minister said their parties were involved in centuries-old politics while living in the 21st century.

Premier Nawaz stated that his government will not allow anyone to become an obstacle to the country's development.
Energy crisis
Speaking about the prevalent energy crisis in the country, PM Nawaz said there was no immediate solution to the problem.
"People should not expect that the energy crisis will be resolved in 6 months or a year," he remarked.
The premier said that during the Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz's (PML-N) term, every effort will be made to bridge the gap between demand and supply of electricity.
"The country’s treasury does not have enough resources to set up power projects on its own," the premier commented, adding that the government was taking China's help to do so.
PM Nawaz claimed that the future was bright in terms of solving the energy crisis, referring to the various power projects started by the PML-N government.
Acknowledging taxpayers
During his address, PM Nawaz said that under this new scheme - which acknowledges the contribution of the top 100 dutiful taxpayers - top 10 taxpayers in each tax-related category will receive excellence awards.
He stated that the top 100 taxpayers will receive privilege taxpayers cards which will give them access to VIP lounges at airports, fast track immigration clearance and gratis passport.
The premier said that in this way, those who are playing a role in the development of the country and are contributing to the economy will be acknowledged.
"It will also give a message to others to do their part as well," he added.

There was no rigging in the polls only Imran is playing in the hands of establishment local and foreign. If there was rigging then why he has government in KPK and sitting in the assemblies He should first resign and then come on streets..
Save the system....If sharifs will not perform they will be ousted in four years...but what about a military dictator...he normally takes at least a decade...be united to save democracy!!
@Anon: You people continue your hate while Nawaz Sharif will continue serving Pakistan.
Allah bless Mian Sahib. May give him health, success and long life. May save him from the hate of haters.
@Sana Naeem: Please choose one... they're mutually exclusive!
So, if you are big time rich and you pay your tax, you get reward, more privileged status. and if you are simple working class loser, paying tax, you get to pay more tax, gareebo doob maro tum.
Cant think of more dumb policy from badshah salamat
In Sha Allah Nawaz Sharif will lead Pakistan out of current turmoil.. Every solution takes some time & we should give PMLN government more time..
Allah bless Pakistan. Allah bless Nawaz Sharif.
Nawaz Shariff's fear tells it all. There has been definitely massive rigging. People must throw those people out who hijacked the country through so called election.
@Rex Minor: What are the issues of 21 first century-Burgers or smart phones? don't worry you will get it.its not a big deal. Aged people? You mean first employ young people when they are groomed and experienced kick them out and employ next lot so on and so forth-how funny!
@Dystopia: They cleared 500 billion circular debt in less than three months where were they wrong?.
“People should not expect that the energy crisis will be resolved in 6 months or a year,” he remarked. BUT WAIT, wasn't it his own brother who said it will be resolved in 6 months? Is he saying that people shouldn't just naively believe what PMLN says?
The election results were pretty much in line with the pre-election opinion polls. I am sure there were many irregularities, but certainly not enough to significantly change the numbers in the parliament.
I believe the Sharif government has been foolish to drag this issue on. They could have easily diffused the entire issue by agreeing to an audit of not just the four seats but the entire election. The margin for most seats was so high that it is unlikely that PML-N would have lost its majority. Even if they lost a dozen seats due to the audit, they still would have kept their majority.
I believe Nawaz Sharif allowed his ego to get in the way of making a pragmatic decision. There is still time. Do the audit, give up a few seats if the numbers show it, shut up Imran Khan, and move on.
the longer this thing drags on, the harder it will be for PML-N to put the matter behind them.
What a stupid plan to honor the highest tax payers !!!!!! Tax laws should be modified and enforcement strengthened.
@sabi: Not the Government but the people themselves; your middle aged leaders are no longer suitable tfor the 21st century issues, this is fully understood in Europe!!!. UK Government is replacing all middle aged gentlemen with women Ministers. Enough with cacophony.

Whats hindrance in Pakistan progress is Shahi rule of Punjabi autocrats.....Chaudhrys. This is what broke the nation into two and today nation is again divided by the autocratic attitude of rulers that are primarily elected by only one province (even that election is questionable / rigged).
My dear ... If you are not ready to deliver justice, then be ready for the long march .... There is nothing new about it, just read history ... If you can't handle justice, you don't deserve to be in power .... SIMPLE ...
PML(N) is itself hinderence to democracy and economical progress of Pakistan as PML (N) runs Pakistan as its fiefdom.
Losers cannot be choosers. Period. There is no need to open any ballot boxes and electoral reforms should take place in Parliament. To the fake Adnan Siddiqui who posted above, nice try.
every party has lodged complaints against alleged rigging in elections if pti is asking for 4 constituencies in punjab they should also agree to 4 pml n is asking for the bar should be same for every other party with complaints why should pti get privileged treatment @Adnan Siddiqui:
Nations deserve their leaders. Pakistan has not been able to change a system which brings the same old dead wood over and over again. Pakistan is run like a family business. Unless pressure is brought to bear to change the system, we will continue having Sharif's and Bhutto's. The system needs change, if cannot happen from within, i.e. in assemblies, then it will be forced from the streets. I think it is good that pressure is brought to bear, those who sit in assemblies should know they have to deliver. More the pressure the better.
government do nothing because we also not in position to do better for our country. hindrance, hindrance and hindrance evry where.
Those who don't believe in system in civilsed world jails is their destination. Government has to prove that Pakistan is a civilized country. period.
Family Ltd Company through Bogus mandate can't serve the nation... Soon will go home.
N league selection is a "typo" mistake
N league is becoming hindrance to real democracy. Why don't u guys just open the ballot boxes??? Simply because you know it will not reflect the seat u r holding
Let it be a fair, verified, honest mandate, then you can rule the roost who vote for you - for the time being, enjoy the ride while it lasts.
They want to put pakistan in same situation like syria and Iraq,, if they are sincere to nation they should only demand electoral reforms nothing more than it. because we know Pakistan is also on IS map some one has to create situation. civil war and insurgency.
Imran Khan and Tahir ul Qadri are hindrance to Shariff family's progress
Too little too late. Instead of catching 3 million tax evaders, you have done nothing. Not a single tax evader has been caught and punished, giving out an example that tax evasion has no consequences in Pakistan.
This "typo" gov't is simply scared of Qadri the Great. If sir Qadri was no concern, why is he talking about him? Truly his typo gov't days are headings towards an end. Qadri revolution is envitable and he'll take over the country and make it people's country, not dynastic country or ethnic country. JIYE QADRI JIYE QADRI
Dear PM, please open your eyes and brain, you will understand why this is happening, it is due to one reason only that is no performance to resolve the key issues of a country in one year and two months.
And you are are becoming hindrance to the justice that is fundamental right of every citizen.
I used to be a PMLN supporter, but after MNS refused to verify the votes, it leads me to believe that massive rigging took place in Elections 2013. How can any govt elected though rigging serve the country?
END OF CLEVER IMPOSTERS ! So called Demo-CRATES wait for few days more - It will be the FINAL BATTLE.
