ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought a reply from the National Accountability Bureau on a petition filed by former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf to seek the removal of his name from the Exit Control List. Monday’s hearing saw the divisional bench, headed by Justice IHC Chief Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi asking NAB to submit a para-wise reply within a week. Ashraf’s counsel Amjad Qureshi urged the court to provide him with the statement submitted by the interior ministry. He urged the court to remove the name of his client from ECL as it had “illegally been placed on the list by NAB”. The court later adjourned.
