KARACHI:
Pakistan retained their third position in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings with just a point ahead of arch-rivals India, who played out a high-scoring draw against England recently.

Australia and South Africa both have rating of 123 points, and are in first and second place, respectively. England, in fifth position, have 100 points, while Sri Lanka are in sixth place -- four points behind them.

In ICC One-day International (ODI) batsmen rankings, AB de Villiers of South Africa leads the chart, while Pakistan’s skipper Misbahul Haq is in sixth place.

Younis Khan is the only other Pakistani to be in the top 20 ranking, and is currently in 11th position.

Dale Steyn continues his dominance in the ODI bowlers’ rankings, while Pakistan’s mystery spinner Saeed Ajmal is in fifth position. Other Pakistani bowlers in the top 20 are Abdur Rehman (who is in 15th place) and Junaid Khan (who is in 17th place).

Pakistan are due to take on Sri Lanka in August, where they will play two Tests and three ODIs.
