PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) police prepared a 4,000-person list of Afghan refugees allegedly involved in serious crimes, Express News reported on Monday.

According to the list, at least a thousand of these refugees were involved in acts of terrorism while more than 3,000 were involved in acts of murder, attempted murder, robberies and other crimes.

It was reported that the list has been sent to various police stations in the province and a plan of action to arrest the suspects was being prepared.

The photographs of the Afghan refugees on the list are also being collected and the blacklisted refugees are banned from entering cities.

The Afghan government will reportedly be taken into confidence regarding this matter.

@roarwali: First of all Afghans are illegal in this country (bare a very few insignificant number legal). Show me one Afghan who has an NTN card? They pay hefty bribes to get a CNIC and then legalize themselves illegally. Due to the large density of Afghans in Karachi west, an Afghan was also elected nazim. Its under the religious party's umbrella they join politics.

@roarwali:

Any Afghan staying in Pakistan without valid travel document, refugee's card or even holding Pakistan IDs is committing a crime and be treated like a criminal for his illegal act . Yes there shouldn't be a generally weeping statement; but Afghanistan has stable government for years which has held a successful election without major incident except allegation of frauds, yet with huge participation by the Afghans. Therefore, all Afghan who are staying illegally in Pakistan must leave Pakistan or may be treated as criminal as was decided by an Afghan court of Nangahar province in case of a Pashtun of this Pakistan side.
