Careless driving: Two children, donkeys die in accident

They said they were looking for him.

DHONKAL: Two children and two donkeys died when a truck loaded with gravel rammed into a donkey cart on Sunday. Three others, also travelling on the cart, received serious injuries. Police said Sadabahar, a resident of Sargodha, was riding a donkey cart on his way to Wazirabad. He had stopped the cart near Ganiwala so his wife could get some water when a speeding truck rammed into the donkey cart. Ghulam Hussain, 14, and five-year-old Naghma died on the spot. Sadabahar, three-year-old Allah Rakhi, eight-year-old Ali Hassan and 11 year old Ali Haider received serious injuries. The two donkeys pulling the cart died as well. His wife, who had alighted from the cart to get water, was unscathed. People in the area took them to Wazirabad Hospital. Doctors treating them said the injured were in critical condition. They said that they had referred Allah Rakhi to a hospital in Lahore. Police said they had seized the truck but the truck driver had fled from the scene. They said they were looking for him.
