FIA authorities had been asked to monitor Basra’s movement.

Chak Jhumra police on Friday claimed to have arrested Owais Ashraf Basra, son of former inspector Ashraf Basra, accused of triple murder from Alama Iqbal Airport in Lahore on his return from Dubai.
Chak Jhumra station house officer told newsmen that Basra, son of former police inspector Ashraf Basra had shot and killed Muhammad Khalid, son of Ghulam Muhammad alias Kalo Sikh, Mudassar son of Muhammad Jatt and Zulfiqar alias Pappu, son of Muhammad Ikram Cheema last year.
He said Basra had then gone abroad and was declared proclaimed offender. His name was also put on the Exit Control List (ECL).
He said Chak Jhumra police had registered a case under Sections 302, 324, 427, 148, 149 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and section of seven of Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).
He said FIA authorities had been asked to monitor Basra’s movement.
The SHO said Basra was returning from Dubai and when he landed in Lahore, FIA authorities took him in custody and called Chak Jhumra police.
He said a team from Chak Jhumra police had gone to Lahore and arrested Basra.
He said the man was taken to Faisalabad and investigations were underway.
