FIA recovers 15,000 fake SIMs from Lahore

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has recovered 15,000 fake mobile phone SIMs from a house in Ferozepur Road, Lahore, Express News reported on Friday.

FIA Cyber Crime Circle raided suspect Tahir Abbas’ house and discovered the SIM cards there. Stolen data from National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) was used to activate these SIMs and then sold.

It is believed that these SIMs are used for carrying out crimes.

Police have arrested the suspects, Tahir Abbas and Sheikh Qasim involved in this case.

This is just ridiculous all are involved in this crime PTA and the mobile operators . Why sim's are being activated if PTA has imposed just 5 connections on a single customer but here the OMO gives something to PTA and then u can have as many sims activated as u want. retailer activated 450 sims on a single name in just 2 hours.
