RAWALPINDI:
A windy day in the twin cities saw a freak accident at the airport as an plane crashed into a wall at Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) late on Wednesday. The Airbus A320, belonging to a Pakistani airline, crashed into a wall due to heavy winds, said airport manager Ayaz Jadoon. The official said that plane was stationary in a parking bay. Strong winds pushed it into a wall, but the aircraft was not damaged. He said winds of 120 kilometres per hour were recorded in the airport area. Jadoon said four flights — two international and two domestic — were diverted to Lahore due to the rain and winds.
