According to the police, it was a case of old enmity.
One of the groups was traveling in a rickshaw when the other group opened fire on them, leading to an exchange of fire between the two groups.
The incident took place at GTS Chowk and the injured were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Two of the injured are reportedly in critical condition.
