Inclusive development : ‘K-P mineral policy to benefit locals’

Imran Khan said the prosperity of the local community would be ensured under the new policy.

ISLAMABAD: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government launched a mineral policy on Monday. Talking about the development, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan said the prosperity of the local community would be ensured under the new policy. He said the formulation of a new mineral policy meant more foreign investment. Imran congratulated the provincial government for launching the policy. “The mining of minerals would be done through modern technology which would be imported from Italy so wastage of minerals could be avoided,” Imran said. “The mineral policy is a true reflection of Naya (new) Pakistan”. The PTI chief added that under its long term policy, the provincial government would plant a billion trees during five years to ensure better environment.” Talking to The Express Tribune, chief minister K-P said there is no difference among PTI lawmakers in the province.
