A similar survey has already been conducted by Badhaber police in several villages, including Suleman Khel, Shahab Khel, Bazid Khel, Kagawala, Sheikh Muhammadi and Masho Khel.
The survey was launched on June 29 and has been successfully completed by two police stations.
“The survey is finally over in areas falling under two police stations but our teams are still conducting a similar survey in Sangu, Sarband, Achini and Landay villages of Sarband police station. The pace is really slow due to a variety of reasons,” a police officer said.
“Most of the villages in Sarband are adjacent to Shalober area of Khyber Agency which is a hub of militant activity so teams in the area have been cautioned and are conducting the survey with extra care,” he added.
The aim of the survey is to collect a complete record of residents and those who have rented houses in these villages along with collecting data about two- and three-storey buildings.
It was initiated following the attack on a Pakistan International Airlines aircraft as it was about to land at Bacha Khan International Airport last month.
