SUKKUR: Two alleged masterminds of the recent blasts at the railway tracks were arrested by the Ghotki police late Thursday.

The police also found explosives in the possession of the two activists of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM). One of the suspects is JSMM’s district president Sahib Khan Ghoto and the other is the general-secretary, Lal Buksh Ghoto.

The police raided an undisclosed location in the city and found five detonators, a 12-foot wire, one kilogramme of RDX, a remote control and a timer.

DPO Ghotki Saqib Ismail Memon confirmed the arrest. He said that they are the masterminds of the bomb blasts that were carried out on the railway tracks. The explosives that were recovered are capable of damaging one-and-a-half to two feet of railway tracks, he added.
