Police arrest 4 suspects in Peshawar, seize ammunition

Police register cases against suspects, seize Kalashnikov, 2 hand grenades, 3 pistols from their vehicle.

PESHAWAR: Police arrested four people in Peshawar on Wednesday and seized a Kalashnikov, two hand grenades, three pistols and five kilogrammes of explosive material from their vehicle, Express News reported.

Cases were registered against the suspects, who are reportedly residents of Khyber Agency.

A prima card, a detonator and a safety fuse were also seized from the possession of the suspects.

The arrested are being questioned and further investigation into the incident is underway. It was also reported that these suspects were involved in serious crimes.

The arms and ammunition were seized on Kohat Road from the Budh Bher area of the city from a vehicle in the suspects' posession, which was travelling from Darra Adam Khel, a town located between Kohat and Peshawar.
