In a press release, the ministry rejected allegations "by certain Afghan officials linking Pakistan security personnel with the armed clashes in Helmand."
It further stated that at this crucial time when Pakistan is engaged in serious efforts with Afghanistan to address common challenges, it is imperative to refrain from making such comments.
The clash in Helmand began in the district of Sangin where hundreds of Taliban insurgents attacked Afghan police posts and civilians. The clashes soon spread to three other districts of Helmand.
"The Taliban fighters who are active here are supported by the military of Pakistan and Pakistani Taliban," Chief of Army Staff Shir Mohammad Karimi said, according to ToloNews.

@chandran: ...border with India... If only we could move our neighborhood & change Parents, siblings, relatives, etc, lol. It's more than a marriage, rather.., fate & destiny. Bad luck of the lovers...a tragic story! Maturity & acceptance of reality only, can make ones life easy, no?
Afghanistan appears to have become West india.
Actually they want to have border with India and not with Pakisthan
@Puppets and at a time Pakistan for Afghanistan was south USSR ?
Let me tell you a secret. Pakistan would rather both states remain in a state of instability then practice full cooperation on security and prosper in peace.
@iSpy: why fight TTP then? They are controlling what is theirs. And surely Afghanistan has their right to shelter Fazllulah and his ilk. No sir/madam!!Terrorists are terrorists. There is no good terrorist/Taliban. They all need elimination and it will only happen with co-operation between the respective countries, and genuine reciprocity.Alternately they can lay down their arms, and live and let live.Simple as that.
@unbelievable: You probably don't know... Haqqani's are controlling what's theirs, from hundreds of years. It's a large tribe spanning over Pak-Afgh lands. Your compatriots might like your comments but not us.
@unbelievable: What things Kabul do to change Pakistan's Cooperative Mood...After all Kabul is not innocent either since 1947....Playing direct and indirect dual games....One side demand makes a foolish statement in power politics..
@unbelievable: The ISPR themselves said they will target all talibans inclusing the HAQQANI network. Do you even follow the news?
If the statementes are not enough do you want them to record a live video streaming of the current attack to make you believe.
I am sorry that cant happen and the army is doing its best and they know 10 times more than you what and how to handle the current situation.
It's about time these people understand that an unstable Afghanistan is the last thing that Pakistan wants
Unfortunately Pakistan's credibility index is almost non existent - makes it susceptible to even outlandish accusations. Further - despite Pakistan's rhetoric there is no objective evidence that Pakistan has included the Haqqani as part of it's recent offensive. The Haqqani have controlled N Waziristan for many years - largest military force in Waziristan and Pakistan somehow can't find them? Time for Pakistan to put action behind the rhetoric - time to launch a full scale attack on the Haqqani which might put Afghanistan in a more cooperative mood.
