Fresh start: PMA concerned over VC’s removal

KARACHI: The executive committee of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) held a meeting on Saurday at the PMA House in Karachi and passed a unanimous resolution for the immediate appointment of a new vice-chancellor on a full-time basis for the DOW University of Health Sciences (DUHS). The university’s vice-chancellor was previously suspended as per the orders of the Sindh High Court. Concerned about the suspension, the committee has decided that professors and faculty members should organise staff unions to advice the new vice-chancellor on how to improve the academic environment.
