High and dry: Five held on drug charges

RAWALPINDI: The Airport police arrested five suspected drug peddlers and seized hashish from their possession during the last 24 hours. In the first incident, a police party intercepted a Toyota Corolla (HY-685) at a police checkpoint near the airport and seized 2kg of hashish from the car during a search. The police also took the three occupants of the car into custody and started further investigation. Meanwhile, the same police seized 1kg of hashish from Haroon Nisar and 1.25kg from Nauman during a patrol. Separate cases have been registered and investigations are under way.
